Import
an excel spreadsheet into a quotation
When using the report writer (UR), these features add the option to transfer the report to an excel spreadsheet or to send it as an attachment in an email.
IMPORT AN EXCEL SPREADSHEET INTO A QUOTE
After filling in the quotation header this additional option (x=import excel spreadsheet) asks for the pathname of the spreadsheet to be imported.
It
then asks for the following information so that the user can describe where the
necessary info is located on the spreadsheet:
Any
info that is left blank will be retrieved from the Product Master. Any item that does not exist in the product
master file will be created using the information on the spreadsheet. If a quantity is left blank then a quantity
of 1 will be used. If a row on the
spreadsheet doe not have a segment code or segment description then the one on
the previous row will be used.
